Ha! I was afraid that I was the only one who had heard of Trust Company on this site. I've always thought that TC were kind of a cool band because they had that nu metal edge but with Kevin Palmer, they had a unique lead singer with a hushed sort of singing style, all while being less whiny than Linkin Park and Korn. I don't like them like I used to, maybe they were a time and place kind of band you know?
@duga: So you don't like it anymore? What you think of their second album? Did you hear their latest? @djchameleon: Yeah, like I said, it's a damn solid nu metal album. What did you think of True Parallels? I haven't gotten around to listening to their latest, not sure if I should or not. Downfall is still a badass song in my opinion. So, tell me what you guys think of this equation. When it comes to Nu Metal Debut albums: Lonely Position > Korn S/T > Slipknot S/T >>>> Hybrid Theory > The Sickness Discuss. (or add other debuts by bands I didn't mention, I didn't add SoaD because I don't really consider them nu-metal) |

1993: 1994: Nu Metal took many of it's cues from these (as well as RATM of course). The Breakdowns, down tuned guitars and electronic influences . Just look at the cast list for the Judgement Night soundtrack. Whoever came up with the soundtrack idea was influential for good and bad!

http://www.musicbanter.com/rock-meta...pany-fans.html I haven't heard that album from them but I got Dreaming in Black and White recently. As far as those albums you listed, I can't really rate them like that. I'm a Linkin Park fanboi so Hybrid Theory trumps them all then I'd probably go with The Sickness and everything else is just on an equal plane but I like to listen to them all the same.

I'm pretty sure I will enjoy them though if their sound is basically like the founding sound that Nu Metal is based off of.

KoRn's self-titled is so good. I think System of a Down and Deftones were the other leaders in the nu metal genre...
