I don't understand... this is coming from the same person who has a burning hate for Blink 182 and similar bands?

I like black metal along with other genres. Many people on here appreciate black metal.

I'd agree with that, I'd say black metal is the ultimate form of dark expression in music. I don't listen to that much BM but it has produced some really great bands like Burzum, who have really elevated black metal into an art form, and Darkthrone among others.

I wouldn't say it's the most hated, I think emo and pop-punk get a far worse rap. But the media and true kvlt wankers are responsible for giving black metal a bit of a bad reputation. It's a shame really as some black metal can be rewarding to listen to for anyone.

Do you know if it came out already? I guess I should look it up.
The first is certainly the best, the new one is actually pretty good...The Ballad Of Mona Lisa is a good song.

Yes, they don't have anything in common.

You mean aside from being pop punk bands? I'm just curious as to why you like panic.

I like a lot of pop punk, I just don't like Blink 182. They were my favourite band when I was a kid, they write pretty intelligent lyrics and know how to write a catchy pop hook.

Canwll Corfe listens to Black Metal. Myself and Janszoon listen from time to time and a couple of others but Metal in general is not a massively discussed genre on MB amongst those who stay here more than a few months.

I guess there are more Metal-centric forums out there that appeal more to dedicated fans who only listen to Metal which means the dedicated fans probably leave due to the lack of posts. Shame. Same for the Electronic, Reggae and soul/funk threads too.

I think most people here have generally similar tastes when it comes to metal, so people either don't venture into those forums or end up agreeing on most things. That's been my experience of it anyway, I may well be completely wrong!
