I don't like most of the 'popular' albums/songs of my favorite bands, including:

Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd)
2112 (Rush)
Owner of a Lonely Heart (Yes)
The Queen Is Dead (The Smiths)
Running In The Family (song and album by Level 42)
How Soon Is Now?- The Smiths (good song, just overrated)

Most of these bands have done WAAAAAAY better stuff which gets ignored.

Why don't you like that album? WHat is your least favourite song on it?

As a Pink Floyd fan, I find too many idiots who know little about the band jump onto the 'ooohh it's got some mystic meaning' bandwagon and make the whole album out to be some key to the meaning of the universe or something. It's usually people who've never actually sat down and listened to a single other Floyd album too who do this.

Good album but I prefer something like Animals.

Always thought their debut album was their best.

I don't know why ya'll are hating MJ. True enough, he doesn't have the best singing voice, (he's even pitchy most of his singles), but he set a standard that not even Aretha/Elvis did, which is purely to "entertain". And by entertain that involves good music, cool moves, spectacular outfits, crazy music videos and amazing concert shows.

Yes we had other singers who can sing better, but they only sing for themselves. We hear them saying "I'm singing this song cause this is what I'm feeling right now, and i believe a lot can relate to this and it really brings out the emotion in me" blah blah blah. Michael Jackson is the complete opposite. He sings because he wants his fans to be entertained. If it means doing crazy stuff, so be it. And thanks to MJ, we have our modern, magnificent, beautiful performers (Beyonce, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga etc.) and they're the ones who makes the big money on their record sales. Music is not supposed to be an expression of a singer, but rather an entertainment for the audience.

Note to self: Build time machine, kill Micheal Jackson.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
Al Pacino = God
