Ahem... TheCunningStunt's music - Rate Your Music

Well, I like 2 of their albums a lot.
Animals, Wish You Were Here and Meddle are so so so dull.
Songs of Leonard Cohen is beautiful and about 4 Nick Cave records are absolutely great.

Haha right on. I guess I missed the day you were converted. It's not like I'm not trying to like Nick Cave. I've given 2 albums a chance...and I'm sure I will give those other albums that were just mentioned a chance as well. Thus far, though, he bores me.

I like Lenny, though.

It wasn't a momentous day, it's not something I'm proud of admitting I was kind of wrong. But DSOTM went from 2 stars, to 3, to 3.5 to 5. I just found myself really into it one day, singing breath, breathe in the aiiiiiiiiiiir.

Then it was like holy sh*t, I actually like this album.

Which 2 Nick Cave albums have you heard?

I'll add this to my list as well. In the past, I have actually gone through whole discographies whilst in denial about how I don't like a particular artist. I think Nick Cave might be one of those.

Your Funeral and Let Love In. Now I have 3 more albums on my list, apparently.

Murder Ballads and Tender Pray are a must listen before you can properly judge Nicky Cave.

Tender Prey is his best, Murder Ballads is my favourite, The Boatman's Call is the less sinister album, more piano based as opposed to his usual Post-Punk style which makes for a gorgeous album. No More Shall We Part and Let Love In are fan favourites and you'll get recommended them a lot, and they are good albums but I personally wouldn't recommend them.

But yeah, he has tons of great albums. Go through his discography and you can't go wrong. I really don't think you can judge him on them 2 albums because they're nowhere near his best.

The Birthday Party are much better than Bad Seeds. So get Prayers on Fire and The Mutiny EP for them.
