Teardrop Explodes - "You Disappear From View" - Their 1983 single that was released I think after the split and as slick as they could get after a couple of fine albums with some good edges which is from what I gather not a strong favorite with either the band (Understandably, considering the history behind it) or fans - a damn fine dose of killer Pop with great Bass by Ronnie Francois and a good guitar hook at the start that's about as ultra commercial as they got with only Julian Cope's voice reminding you that it's still a step above. Not a way to end a band that seriously stood out, but it still had a good beat and you can dance to it, although those who ventured into the double single set were rewarded with some solid B-Sides more worthy of the Teardrops history on songs like "Ouch Monkeys" and "The In-Psychlopedia."

Venture into the Everyone Wants to Shag the Teardrop Explodes collection to hear it. Even if it's certainly not Wilder, it's a pretty good album.

I don't know much by them either. Though I do also like "Superman's Song" which, like "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm", has pretty entertaining lyrics even if it isn't quite as catchy.

Their best album

His worst release (Even though it's still mind blowingly awesome.)

I have to agree.
When I was a budding teen, I made my own drum set out of boxes, plastic bowls, and whatever else I could find around the house. And when I got the opportunity to use a radio without the parents around to condemn the interest in wordly, ungodly things, I would set it to a rock/alternative station and record cassettes to play my homemade drums to. This was one of those songs, along with a bunch of others that played in the early 90's, so it has some sentimental value to me. I've never even heard any of their other songs. I'd still jam that song today.

Hardcore music takes some talent.

Lil wayne does have some decent songs and isn't a half bad rapper when he isent on syrup.
