I still have 2 of Loathsome's album recs to listen to. It's obviously not a bad genre, I'm just having a hard time finding something I really like. I do have a few Metal albums, but not nearly enough.
Well I don't blame you for not liking Relentless, the album is fucking awful. Day of Reckoning (1987) is generally agreed to be their best album, and when I'm trying to ease someone into a genre they don't know much about, I am not afraid to expose them to their best work and then let them go back and check out the rest of the band's discography at their own leisure. Doom metal can be a very polarizing genre and it's one I'll admit to not knowing much about, besides knowing a few of the classic albums like Day of Reckoning and Epicus Doomicus Metallicus I have preferred the subgenres spawned from it like sludge metal, stoner metal, and death/doom metal.

Completely disagreed here. Relentless is one of my favourite traditional doom albums and definitely my favourite Pentagram album.

I disagree with you both and think "Be Forewarned" is their best album

^ I actually agree with that statement. They're just a fun, chill band.

Guero is Beck's best album and one of the best albums of the 00's.

While it's definitely rarer to see someone praising Guero over Sea Change I believe the biggest unpopular music opinion towards Beck is that Midnight Vultures isn't a bad album.

Midnight Vultures is his third best, behind Odelay and Sea Change.

I don't think that's an unpopular opinion at all, except around here it seems. Most people I know that like Beck like that album. The mainstream probably didn't care for it though, at was more like a Ween album than an accessible alt. rock album.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I've seen a number of people slam that album which always perplexed me because I remember listening to it when I was 16 and loving the shit out of it on the first listen.
