Also, I'm not sure of anybody's opinion on TMV here but it's usually severely negative where I go, so Frances the Mute is utterly great and I feel that much of the hate TMV is rooted in Pitchforkdom, At The Drive-In nostalgia, and indie pop wishes.

Or something...
I agree with everything here.

And I also think the TMV hate is unfair. I don't know if it's that's soft spot for experimental music talking, but I really think they should get more love. Silly Pitchfork, you just never learn, and the only reason I still read it is because they're fond of Tyondai Braxton, and sometimes the reviews are funny.

The new Linkin Park album is actually quite fabulous and way better than anything I've ever heard from them before... I mean it!!!

Every Linkin Park album is disgraceful. I guess if I had to I could say their newest is better than the rest but it still makes me want to cut my throat.

It sucks, but I gotta admit that I loved Hybrid Theory when it came out and while it's extremely repetitive the formula they used was cool at first...

I absolutely cannot stand it, but fair play to them for trying out new things. They could easily release another Hybrid Theory-like album year after year and their fans would still lap it up.

What's not to stand? I am not saying everyone has to love it... it's just I'd like some reasoning behind the hate, 'tis all!

Eh, I've said enough about Hybrid Theory and my reaction to both it and others' reactions to it.

Well, obviously I kind of disagree with this entire bit.

Firstly, Yaphet Kotto sounds nothing like Daitro, who in turn sound nothing like Sed Non Satiata who sound nothing like pageninetynine who sound nothing like Neil Perry who sound nothing like iwouldsetmyselfonfireforyou who sound nothing like Saetia (of course, I could go on, but I'll desist at this point).

Secondly, why would you have a fit about band names? And pigeonhole it to this genre, or perhaps Metal bands are much more innovative? or maybe indie bands are, actually?

This screamo hate always seems a bit displaced and I've never been able to understand why.
