Whatever you want to call it, I will agree it's one of the greatest power-pop/pop-rock/pop-punk albums out there. Kind of a bring-down when I connect the band with a person I've lost touch with though.

Any hate Canada gets for Nickelback is immediately canceled out because they've given us GY! BE and hockey.

I listened to a couple of the singles on youtube and was not impressed at all, which surprises me that you like it haha...

that's how canada should be seen.

Also, don't forget A Silver Mt. Zion! I love them (apparently they've changed their name for the 657497th time to "Thee Silver Mt Zion" )

I have liked approximately 96.47% of what +81 recommends, so yeah, it surprises me haha.

You can't get past Anthony Kiedis's vocals enough to enjoy the Red Hot Chili Peppers, so yeah, not surprising haha...

I would 100% agree with you if it wasn't for the vocals. They wreck the music, which honestly sounds like something I could get into.

Trust me all your Canadian post-rock bands get a pretty good representation in the International market. GY!BE's 2000 release was listed on every "Best of 00" list I found on the Internet, and a lot of people know are at least familiar with the album or band. Canada's metal scene is terribly misrepresented in the International market besides a few acts, and the same goes for the punk scene.

Montreal might be more famously known for it's indie scene, but there is an equal, if not larger metal scene there that gets no representation unless you're a metalhead.
