I just listened to POAAF and Antichrist to refresh my memory of both albums (it has been a long long while). My opinion still holds. The first half of Antichrist is pure gold, but the album drags on far too much. Marilyn Manson should be handled in small doses, so a long ass concept album is kind of a no no. POAAF is still my favorite.

I like these songs. Sorry. They seem like decent, light, pop-punk fare. I won't get caught listening to any Fall Out Boy after this debut album though, however, so don't worry about me too much...

Fall Out Boy's From Under the Cork Tree is great and they didn't "sell out".

Beyonce needs to take a long walk off a short cliff.

Bluegrass is fanf*ckingtastic.

That fall out boy isn't too bad, still not something I would find myself listening too, but it's a lot better than the other **** they managed to crap out.

  1. Warning by Green Day is a fantastic album full of great pop songs.
  2. Chris Cornell's latest solo effort Scream isn't all that horrible.
  3. Avenged Sevenfold write decent pop-metal. I will occasionally listen to Waking the Fallen and City of Evil, and their new album is actually pretty listenable.
  4. Jerry Cantrell is the soul of Alice in Chains, and I'm sick of people saying the band can't exist without Layne Staley, even though Cantrell wrote almost all of the music and lyrics. Nevermind him contributing like 50% of the vocals.
  5. On the subject of Jerry Cantrell, his second solo album has songs that kick the **** out of most AiC songs.

If you`re talking about "Degradation Trip" I like that album a lot too. I was never much of a fan of Alice In Chains, but always preferred Jerry Cantrell to Layne Staley.

I kinda do too. Folie a Deux is actually a really kinda great album. And I'm sort of intrigued by Patrick Stump's forthcoming solo CD, especially after seeing him cover The Wedding Present at the AV Undercover sessions.

I'm just a slight bit curious about Patrick Stump's solo album too, even though I don't like Fall Out Boy.

My unpopular opinion...
When it comes to Bruce Springsteen cover songs I've heard I've liked every single one better than the originals.
