Blind Melon is one band I have wanted to check out for a long, long time, yet somehow i never get around to them... I feel kinda negligent for my lack of attention to Blind Melon, but I know that at some point I shall give them due attention!

also - Blind Melon is awesome, their studio work is definitely worthwhile but it's on their live stuff (easy enough to find online) where they REALLY shined. |

Thanks Mr. Dave... I'll be sure to look into it when the time comes to fully investigate the whole Blind melon phenomenom!

^ it's all good, i figured with a few people mentioning the band it was worth noting that their bootlegs are better than their studio discs. and while 'no rain' is a decent single i always much preferred 'toes across the floor'

STP are a band I have no strong opinions about. Not bad, just very generic and I'm tired of them being on the radio all the time because they don't have anything special about them. But they are also leagues better than all the crappy post grunge they paved the way for.
Oh yeah, and the music video for Sour Girl was pretty f*cking crazy and awesome. |

Definitely one of the most underrated bands of the 90's. It's a shame that No Rain is what they'll always be remembered for. I had a chance to see them live not too shortly before Shannon Hoon died, and they were absolutely incredible. I've also heard a handful of their live bootlegs and they're every bit as amazing as you say, and definitely enough of a departure from their studio work to invest a good listening.
