between the ages of 10 and maybe 14, linkin park were sublime. i still love hybrid theory/meteora to this day, but minutes to midnight is an abomination to god and i'll not be listening to the new record in fear of projectile vomitting.

Am I the only bloody person who was ~10-years-old when Linkin Park came out who never liked them at all? I'm not going to act like some elitist jerk, but it seems like I'm the only person who was born in 1990 who, in 2000, would rather be listening to Chili Peppers from the late-80's-early-90's than Hybird Theory or anything similar. Every time Linkin Park shows up, people always go "YEAH MAN, THEY WERE GOOD BACK THEN BUT THEN I OUTGREW IT BUT I CAN STILL LISTEN TO THE DEBUT". No, they were never good, never ever ever good..

i wouldn't say you were the only person, nah. i hate that saying with a passion.
and well maybe not to you, but they obviously were doing something right if a lot of people liked them back then. they were good at one point, but are no longer. it's not as if linkin park were the only band i listened to, i was also mad into the chili's just like yourself, heck i even thoroughly enjoyed limp bizkit, papa roach, creed, third eye blind and bands like that. |

here's my unpopular music opinion:
panda bear's new songs are better than what was on person pitch i'm not saying that i don't like person pitch, though. i just like how hip-hop-y the new song "slow motion" is. |

that sounds really cool I have to check that out. Person Pitch was awesome though, I don't see how the new one can top it.

So the other day I downloaded Trout Mask Replica, being a big Zappa and residents fan. I expected to love it. Keep in mind, I've never heard anything by Beefheart before this album. and my conclusion is...
This is the worst music I have ever heard, if it even can be considered music. I would rather listen to Justin Beibers newest album on repeat for the rest of the week then sit through this album one more time. It it beyond horrible. I've heard Beefheart is a musical genius before, and I think he must be an Evil Genius, as this is so terrible it had to be made trying to be the most terrible it could be in every aspect (Flame shield on!) |
