And the comment was I didn't see how anyone could like those bands.
In addition to being hella interesting lyrically wise, Coheed are superb musician and their music is hella fun.

Kurt Cobian did kill himself get over it there is no massive conspiracy. This is generally what depressed heroin addicts do.

Manowar are the music equillivant to he-man and quite possibly the worst metal band of all time.

Dave Mustiane is a sour miserable little man with his head so far up is ass is hard to hear him talk. Plus megadeth are a terrible band let down buy mustiane's Sh!t Vocals and even sh!ttier lyrics

Hammet, Dimebag, Kerry King > Mustiane

Dragonforce Kickass

and so do the Eagles of death metal

Dave Grohl is not the best drummer in the world but he might be God.

I know it's only opinions, but Hammett!

Hammett doesn't write much of the stuff he plays, and when he does, it usually ends up with him noodling the same pattern up and down the fretboard in severe wah abuse.

Hetfield on the other hand, is a rather good guitarist.

Come off it! All that thrash metal sh*t is just tremolo picking 16th notes non stop. Its hard to do granted but where's the dynamics in doing that?

Haven't heard much thrash have you? You clearly haven't heard Pantera.

I was quite into thrash metal a few years back actually. Personally I wouldnt cll Pantera a thrash band. They like to get on a groove and slow the tempos down considerably. They werent like early Megadeth or something were its just playing as fast as humanly possible for no reason.

I think the White Stripes are much better than Led Zeppelin with exception of the amazing harmonica on "When the Levee breaks"

I think the Talking Heads are never given enough credit, they are the benchmark by which all contemporary indie rocks pass through.

Norah Jones, Fiona Apple ~~~> Their pretty ****ing good, and liking them doesn't mean you're *** (as I'm told quite often)

There is no redeeming quality to The Velvet Underground...and most of David Bowies music.

I really agree with all of these, I had to delete the first, even though I like the White Stripes, Led Zeppelin's>

I actually agree with Big3 and TUTG, minus Fiona Apple.

Also Zep has some of the catchiest hooks ever, so I can't say Jack White is better.

David Blowie.
