Good on ya

It's got probably my favourite Bowie cover art to it as well;

You forgot about Sometime In New York, which is a very underrated album. Lennon's output took a bit of a nose-dive for me after Imagine though - great singles (Mind Games, Stand By Me etc), boring albums.

Also, Ram, Band On the Run, Red Rose Speedway, Press To Play, Flaming Pie and Flowers In the Dirt are pretty awesome albums. Even the string of his last few albums are decent. Going by the quantity of post-Beatles albums of his I like, McCartney's an easy winner for me.

And even those were only bonus tracks with the CD reissue. I Live For You, Beware Of Darkness, What Is Life, Awaiting On You All, the title track, Isn't It a Pity - all terrific songs that make All Things Must Pass one of my favourites.

Oh, well in that case I don't really mind the jams as bonus material, I thought they were on the original record for some reason.

The Jams disc was part of the original.

Imagine is great but Plastic Ono Band is better.

Plastic Ono Band > All Things Must Pass = Imagine > Ram

I just want to say that none of these guys (of the three, Ringo not included) are "cack" as solo artists. And please stop saying cack.
I think Imagine and Plastic Ono Band are classic album, All Things Must Pass would've been good if it wasn't such a bloated mess.. Despite the songwriting, I'm just commenting on it as a finished article. As a full body of work it isn't very good.

I'm afraid The Beatles I have a big soft spot for is a bit cack on his own. I've never enjoyed a McCartney solo album.

I love me some Queen but EVERYONE has one big named band with a devoted fanbase that they just don't like.. No point in getting all uppity about it, it's just the way it is.

Funny, I was convinced they were CD-only bonus traks 'til now. In that case, yeah, he could've left those off, but otherwise I still love that album to bits.

I could still end up getting into that one day as its one of those albums i seem to have a slightly different opinion of every time i listen to it but I like Saucerful of Secrets, Wish You Were Here, Meddle, Animals and Dark Side of the Moon and Piper just doesnt really match up for me. It doesnt match up with alot of my favourite late 60's psych rock records either.

As i say its not a bad album at all but i just dont get it why its SO highly talked of.

Barrett was a very original and intriguing songwriter. Piper and Madcap are both excellent albums.

However I still think the Waters/Gilmour team are superior even if they don't score as many hipster points.

I've only bothered with Piper, DSOTM and The Wall.

DSOTM is my favourite out of them all.. But I don't rate it highly. I'm gonna get round to listening to Animals and Wish You Were Here pretty soon.

Animals is the closest they've ever been to a hard rock album, you might dig that one.

If you don't like DSOTM you probably won't like WYWH since it's similar but with lengthy prog instrumentals.

Downloading. Here's to hoping it's a good one. How highly is it rated by Floyd fans?

I've found that it generally goes: DSOTM > The Wall > Wish You Were Here > Animals..

But I guess Floyd fans thinks they're all so great it's hard to choose. -_-
