But it was really long, I got really bored. Just looked on Wiki, 105 minutes. That's a joke.

Sandinista! is my least favourite Clash album, I wouldn't go and check my RYM if you like it...

And 69 love songs... well, yeah.

12 would've sufficed.

I just can't stand really long bloated albums. I don't know how people can last all 172 minutes of 69 love songs..

Length is a good thing if you're not bad at doing it (NSB, SOTL, the massive Swans efforts, etc.). Albums that are 2+ hours need to hold my attention for that long.

That said, I don't know if this is unpopular, but albums that are about 30 minutes seem to appeal to me greatly.

Urgh. 60 minutes or GTFO for me.. Sure there are a couple of exceptions but for the most part they annoy the life out of me.

45-1 hr is good enough for me. Exceptions: Lamb Lies Down on Broadway by Genesis, Mellon Collie by the Smashing Pumpkins...actually that's about it.

Yeah, when I was younger I used to think more length in albums and movies just meant more for me to enjoy, but I have really grown to appreciate a well-produced 40 minute album (the ideal length in my mind)...

Would you care to back up your 40 minute is perfect claim with evidence?

Agreed...I'm all for quality over quantity. In fact, there is a 25 minute album by the Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster called Horse of the Dog that I wouldn't want to be even a minute longer. It is completely perfect the way it is. I would rather be left wanting more than wondering when the hell the album will be finished.
