Yeah but it's only one song through and even then it's pretty minimal.

Like I said, I do like repetition when the melodies/rhythms/etc. are WORTHY of being repeated for a long time. Remain in Light seems devoid of worthiness. I know that repetition can lead to hypnotism and extreme interest, but that is not at all how I see the album. |

Talking Heads have never been a band short on great melodies and hooks and Remain in Light is no exception, I love it's experimentation and Belew's guitar work, I consider it their best but I can understand why people prefer their first 3 albums. I don't think it's overly repetitive, 4 and 5 minutes isn't really long so I don't see how it's too repetitive. All rock music is repetitive by nature.

Well, Remain in Light is going to encourage me to delve into their other stuff, because I did see a lot of potential for greatness, even if it wasn't inherently in that particular album.

Having looked through your RYM ratings, I have to say I have never disagreed with someone's taste as much as I do yours. <_<

I really DGAF if you think The Beatles suck. That's cool and all. But saying they're overrated? Nah. I think DragonForce are awesome. I don't care what people say. They're not meant to be taken seriously. They have epic, uber-catchy melodies. Lulz-worthy, but oh so cheesily epic lyrics. They incorporate video game sound effects in their music for crying out loud. What's there not to love? [/QUOTE] Well, so far all of their fans that I've seen write use words like "uber" without known what they mean and say "lulz" a lot. They overuse the word "epic" as well. Oh, and they don't have any sort of hook, throwaway lyrics, and think incorporating video game sound effects with horrible music is a good idea.
