Hey, this slaughtering of sacred cows is more fun that I thought it'd be..

He's one I have always felt I should appreciate - at least a couple of those old albums. Hasn't happened yet though Quote:

I think their first 2 albums are good and I saw them play when they toured for Pale in '90 or '91. I still have fond memories of that show. The singer is about 5' tall and he went barefoot on stage. The drummer is a bona fide midget (insert your own PC term here if there is one) who wore one shoe with about a 4" sole and one normal shoe. O yeah, they sounded really good live too

Music is subjective blah blah, but they are far from awful, in my opinion of course. |

Hole is one of the classic bands from the grunge era, if you are not a fan of grunge music, then why would you want to only state a negative reply? I have always been a big fan of the 90s Seattle grunge scene, to me it was such a drastic change coming out of the 80s hair bands, when the range of your average lead vocalist was out there^ But when the 90s rolled around, all of a sudden....your average vocalist in a cover band was able to capture the vocals, without all the high end screams & lead vocals like the 80s hair bands required. And even more...was the tuning down and use of lower octives by the bands like Stone Temple Pilots and others did with the music itself, (Staind is a favorite band of mine that uses alot of lower end tuning also) the 5-string bass & 7-string guitars along with tuning in low C, etc. became a practice, away from the traditional 440 standard. The 90s grunge era has always been one of my favorite genres.

The Beatles were absolutely terrible. As goes for pretty much all of the artists everyone must know (both new and old). Queen, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Nirvana, AC/DC, Deep Purple, Ozzy Osbourne, Led Zeppelin, Elvis Presley, Mozart, Beethoven. All crap, I tell ya!
