Captain Crunch? Tony the Tiger? What well-endowed cereal mascots do you guys have? We have old timer forty-niner miners, animals and ****ing kids (Snap, Crackle and that insufferable **** Pop): I wouldn't even click a link to see any of them in sexual congress. Or any kind of congress.

This just made me think - there's basically no original female cereal mascot characters. At least not in America. Cereal mascots are a complete sausage fest.

I never liked the beatles much as a kid/adolescent/young adult, didn't see what the fuss was about.

Studying songwriting I guess I see how they are good songwriters, and it made me appreciate them more.

My unpopular opinion is that video killed the radio star.

The biggest draw of reissues for me is the bonus material, if it's just a remaster I don't really care that much.

It always depends on the remaster. Some remasters can be so marginal that you don't notice the difference. Others can be as stark a contrast as the Bowie/Iggy mixes of Raw Power or the UK[original]/US mixes of the Holy Bible.

Unpopular opinion: bonus tracks should be on a separate disc or not at all. Two or three bonus tracks tacked onto the end are never any good and **** with the vibe of the album. If they're throwing on a whole other disc then the original album is intact and maybe they go the extra mile for the bonus stuff.

I 100% agree with this. I've bought too many albums past their prime where I have to pay attention to where the original tracklisting ends so that I can assess the album properly in its intended form. Extra tracks are great for reissues, but give me the original album on one CD. And if it's an LP don't tack it on to the end of the same one.

Agreed. Bonus tracks trigger my OCD. It's like drawing a moustache and funny hat on the Mona Lisa. I know it's irrational.

I'm not totally bothered about bonus tracks, however if they're bonus tracks MAKE them bonus tracks, not live versions or remixed or edit versions of stuff you already have. What really pisses me off though is those album that get "reissued" with exactly the same track listing BUT with one or two new BONUS tracks! So you feel you have to buy them just to get those tracks. Which may be live or remixed or edited.... arrrrggghhhh!
