Queen is the only show tunes allowed for toxic straight dudes.

They have great songs and clearly a ****load of talent, but the production of their music sounds like the worst kitsch 80s music possible
Well that's impressive since half of their discography is from the 70s.

DUMBEST SH*T EVER.

I was fighting my in laws over it. I was like if you heard that sh*t in any other song you'd hate it.
Yeah, if it were any other band I'd go "Stop trying to be freddie mercury." Also, it kinda goes with the song and queen.

Yeah, I know. I'm talking about the feel of the sound.

Not that there are that many I personally like, but I feel like there's no denying their songwriting prowess and technical abilities. And these two combined usually lead to great songs.
It's just that the overall production is so botched (stylistically) that even if the songs are good or great, they become unlistenable.

Can't say I agree with that, at least their 70s stuff I think is very well produced, A Night at the Opera especially, yeah it's very slick and glossy but duh it's Queen, they weren't trying to sound like a garage band ffs.

I'm not a big fan of 80s Queen aside from The Game and a few singles, though Innuendo ended things on a high note.

Queen aren't one of my favorite bands by any means but I still like them and find the hate they get nowadays pretty overblown and unfair, I blame media oversaturation more than anything.
