He likes Smashing Pumpkins so it can't be that.

This is the funniest thing I've seen you say. Choking on my drink over here.

Why do you think he met him? I don't see that he said it. Unless you're talking to Homer...

He posted a photo of himself with the guy (in the discord). I'd post here but maybe Elph doesn't want to share here or he would have posted himself.

They definitely tried it.

Elph is right in that Smashing Pumpkins were one of the greatest '90s bands. Batlord is right in that Corgan is a dick. Here's an example, perhaps not the best, but an example nonetheless - Corgan has a serious ego. He's a smart guy, but damn he's kinda full of himself - his production efforts [in some vain attempt to take complete control over the sound of his music] have just been a disaster - I've seen them live twice, both times were great shows, but Billy thinks much too highly of his recent material:

But damn, at their peak, they recorded some beautiful music - that's my teenage years right there, nostalgia encapsulated and forever solidified:

Alice in Chains definitely don't suck, they were a great band. Too bad heroin wreaked hell on Layne. Don't think they ever tried to play or be "punk" - they were more of a metal band in their sound.

"Zero" is the only Pumpkins thing I actually care about but it is an absolute 10/10 banger.

Really? You don't even like Silverfu<k or Where Boys Fear to Tread? Those seem like they'd be up your alley.

Also, for what it's worth, I'd take Oasis over STP - and I do like some STP.

Does Nine Inch Nails count as an alt 90s band? They were great.
