I'm not on spotify, but kudos to Joni Mitchell and Neil Young for sticking to their guns. I suspect that most of their fans have their stuff on physical media anyway. I would imagine that spotify sided with Rogan for a couple of reasons. Money (i.e. more listeners), and perhaps some contract stipulations.

I like a little of Neil's stuff. My first exposure to his music was with Crosby, Stills and Nash.

As voices go, I can handle Neil's, but not Dylan's.

Well, that's not true. I for one am a massive Neil Young fan, and all I have physically speaking is a vinyl copy of Harvest and a CD of After the Gold Rush.
And there's so much more to listen from him.

Also, most of my friends are great fans of his, and none of them have any physical copy of his work.

Yeah, no, Money is the only reason.

I consider myself a Neil Young fanatic, and I literally can't stand Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

I would recommend though a number of his solo things, if you'd be willing to explore him. It really is worth it.

If not albums, then at least songs. I highly recommend you check out:

And try to work your way through these.

Also, his concert at the Carnegie Hall n 1970 is something that can make your jaw drop to the floor.

I have some of his material on CD. I have a couple of compilations (Decade), as well as Sleeps with angels, Mirrorball, the unplugged set.

I'm not unfamiliar with his stuff. I'll check out what you posted though.

Trans was a brave and heartfelt album, and Buffalo Springfield churned out a few good tunes.

I do cringe a little with some of his guitar solo's.

He's long been considered our answer to Dylan.

I feel like better songs about heroin use have been written. Also, i'm sure it was great for the 70s but it's a bit...rhymey for me. Also, the "Milk blood to keep from running out" never seemed to fit to me.

The best Neil song is After the Gold Rush
