If they made it one album it would be better but still have zero personality to emotionally latch onto. Megadeth's 90s work is goofy as **** but that's far more personality to enjoy than Metallica's soulless stadium alt rock.

I mean I understand why Metallica in general play better on the radio cause the radio is a better medium for generic music but Megadeth is just straight up the better band and the only albums that compete are Metallica's first two.

As for Megadeth, I'd pin their last good album as Endgame. The System Has Failed is ok, kinda forgettable though.
I honestly haven't given time to any album past United Abominations cause it was the album where my good will ran out and I just couldn't bear to listen to how unenthusiastic Megadeth had become.

I want to know everything. Is Dave Mustaine an *******? How is he an *******? Who is he an ******* to? How do the other members of the band act? Do they act like employees? Do they act abused? Do they act entitled?

I want to know ****ing everything that happens.

Does anyone else also agree that Metallica's quality of songs has gone down now?
They've had their moments since the Black album. I didn't mind Load and Reload.

I can't speak to Megadeth though. I only own a compilation from the band.

You gotta check out their older stuff, like Rust In Peace right quick.

Their third album is a bit underrated in my estimation:

Megadeth shows up at your place of employment and you're not gonna be there? I mean, I know you don't like metal, but this is just lunacy.

I don't know Megadeth that much, and I'd wait in line just to say "hey" to Dave and co.

Thanks for the clips.

This is fair, but since I'm a fanboi I do think therapy cut into the songwriting and lyrics heavily. But yes, St. Anger is the worst of the Metallica albums.

Oh c'mon it may be the "sellout" album but it's a solid hard rock album, it's just overlong like a lot of 90s albums are.

And here's a real hot take for ya, I think it's better than ...And Justice for All.

Sorry Metallica fans, I like bass.

But AJFA with bass is basically their best album.
