My dad is a huge Stevie fan but I've never seen him wear a Hawaiian shirt, he's more of a flannel guy.

SRV's wider influence is more to do with amplification. Dude did loud good.

I saw him live just before he passed when he was opening for Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop tour. It was one of the most amazing concerts I've ever been to.

Healy's outro solo on his cover of While My Guitar G W's still gives me goosebumps. His bends were fantastic. SRV has some of that same magic on his cover of Come On (Part III). There's lots to like with both.
