The rhythm electric guitar part especially sounded very good, as do the acoustic guitar solo that is in the song.
Now, I know Im gonna get hate for this comment though, because the song is seen as offensive even back then.

Obviously, the lyrics of the song DO needs to be Kidz Bopified of course.

Jeebus Christ my takes back then were BAD, I wholeheartedly reject almost everything I said in that post, including the bit about Barrett. I changed a lot in 16 years, this was not pleasant to revisit, sorry.

Syd was absolutely an essential part of the band's history, and while Piper isn't my favorite it is a top fiver for me. Pretty sure I was just having a knee jerk reaction to all the hipsters and contrarian Urban Hatemonger types dismissing the Gilmour era at the time. While I am glad the Gilmour era happened, no, Barrett was absolutely not a necessary casuality, I think we were robbed of some really interesting music he could have produced if it were not for his issues, the band were absolutely in the right for replacing him when he was in the condition that he was, but no what happened to him was not necessary, I think it's kinda gross to phrase it that way to be perfectly honest with you.

I don't think I put any real thought into that post, I may have been trolling, at least for my sake I hope I was.
