I dislike his voice, delivery, lyrics and pathos to the point that I asked a friend whether he knew anything that sounded like NIN but without all those... But the music's great, I'm afraid.

Yeah. I keep trying to like Downward Spiral but it's too up its own ass and polished to be anything but highly tolerable butt rock. Pretty Hate Machine just ****ing slaps though.
