Nirvana is the timeless edgy teenager band and I question how many of them actually love Nirvana.

Lil Peep is definitely going to be another that gets Nirvana status.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Word is that Dylan Carson lent Lil Peep the xans.

Default Deciphering TheBig3

Whom or what do you mean by "Elephant?" just curious. There was a band back then called "Elefant." Do you mean them? They sounded like a band influence by The Strokes. (jftr I don't want to assume you are making a spelling mistake or a typographical error, but perhaps you're not as infallible as you make yourself out to be!) AM? Is that perhaps an initial redux of "Arctic Monkees?" They were inspired to form a band after seeing The Strokes in concert. Interesting to see you mentioned bands that somehow have a Stroke connection. I think you listening to Nirvana, Elefant, & Arctic Monkees gives you more cool points than let say someone who disavows lowest common denominator bands.

So you are saying you didn't listen to Elefant or Arctic Monkeys? I guess I'll never know what you meant by "From Elephant to AM." then.

Oh well I guess I assumed wrongly you were into the band Elefant, my bad. e.g. with their song, Now That I Miss Her, the bass line and rhythm guitar always reminds me of The Strokes. So that is why I said what I said, i.e. 'They sounded like a band influence by The Strokes.' You honestly never heard of them?

The greatest mash up of all time is Louie Louie and some avant-garde composition by Frank Zappa.

I'll never get the appeal of Zappa. I like a few songs, but he's like the forerunner to Radiohead. I suspect 70% of the people saying "Oh man, Zappa's so amazing!" are full of **** and buy the albums to look intelligent.
