Sure. I'm not out here saying "CDs are a tool of the devil!" but I often think people getting hyped about "the concept" is a cover for garbage tunes.

"That song didn't suck, it was a segue to this other song!"

If you're not moving the needle to a good song "because it's a whole piece of art, maaaan" then albums (which are an artificial measurement, to begin with) are just **** songs masquerading as art so they can't be criticized.

To answer your first question, Prog and art bands tend to do "whole pieces" and I just find it to be more pretension than passion.
Rectangular canvas is an arbitrary medium so **** painting.

I think you or the person you are quoting misused the word "segue" because whether on vinyl or CD there is an interruption. It's a gap of silence, hence not a true segue. And another thing it's quotation marks but I can't recall anyone ever saying it.

How do you know whether or not you have been psychological condition by Billboard 200 to believe on hit songs matter? ... hence your displeasure of "deep cuts" on albums.

They're going to have to build large sport stadiums, perhaps the size of Massachusetts.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

I like Iron Maiden as much as the next guy but Bruce Dickinson sucks at singing.
