They weren't more adventurous, that's true. They just went further down the road that the Rolling Stones paved. I was kind of joking when I said the Stones should have gone further, I consider Exile already very adventurous for its time

And about the Who, I dunno, they just always sounded a bit lame to me. Never gave them a proper chance though, I think

Just if you want my thoughts on Quadrophenia. Predictably I love the **** out of it. I think you’re more likely to like it because you like Bach than you are because you like Bikini Kill.

@Hawk I'm only two tracks into Quadrophenia, I need to get over the arena-rock sound that it has to me but I might like this

I mean Carrie Brownstein was into the Who so I figure I should be able to like them

Edit: I'm on the third Quadrophenia track now and I get the comment about Bach, this is great compositionally
