I like Nick Cave, but not as much as you would expect from someone who likes the kind of music that I do
This song though, this is gorgeous

From Her to Eternity is pretty cool...for a Nick Cave album.

I bet in ten years you’ll hardly ever listen to anything but jazz. I don’t think you’ll stay like that forever but maybe for a decade or so. It gets to a point where you realize you need complete immersion for some time.

Not a bad place to end up tbh.
When I was growing up all I listened to was post-punk, weird jazz and Rock-In-Opposition. Then in my mid teens I discovered prog, metal, etc. Today it's a little bit of everything plus a lot of R&B, synthwave, yacht rock, noise rock and 2nd gen vaporwave. I think we cycle in and out of things every couple of years or so. I read somewhere that people actually listen to less music overall as they get older. Maybe that's a contributing factor to why people get to the point where it's 90% one thing and 10% whatever else.

I’ve been on a free jazz cycle for 30 years. And a Ramones cycle for life.

He may be more spread out but he knows a lot about a lot of different kinds of music so I don’t think you want to go there.
