I listened to this again today. I was thinking Jesus this is probably better than anything even by MBV. It’s a very complete, beautiful, unassailable record.

Terrapin Station is such a blemish on the discography of The Grateful Dead that I might not be able to actually get over it.

Why? I'll admit to the second side being a bit better but that A side is one of the cringiest AOR sides in music and I wanted to throw up.

Their cover of "Dancin' in the Streets", when played near graveyards, brings to life every single lame f*ck dead dude with rotting chaco sandals and a sway of hip to arm groove that will make you sh*t your pants and run away screaming. It's the whitest most boring song I've ever heard and should be erased from history.
