Thanks.
Still nope, though. I tried.
Even if the music wasn't mediocre at best, those annoying-ass vocals would kill it for me.

Nah the curmudgeonry's lame, it's like when people think of themselves as too serious to like pop or when elphenor has an opinion on anything.

As far as Rush goes...ja Peart is too mechanical, very little soul for someone who cites Buddy Rich as an influence. I've always felt that Lifeson's the driving force of the band, even if he falls back on a shimmery tone too often.

Stunningly accurate analogy, for a Nerd.

I've tried half a dozen times without getting into them but might try once again as well.
I tried covering all bases with the music in general comment, but I think they're more rock influenced prog where they try not to delve too far beyond the listeners understanding. Musical novels type of thing with a rock back drop.

I'd maybe go with Hemispheres.

If a date raper is a rectangle then a juggalo is a square.

It's also okay to bully goths cause they're losers.

Checked out Hemispheres a bit and actually liked it.
Gonna give it a more thorough listen in the next days. Rush might not be lost on me after all...

You've only posed this strawman to frame your shallow taste as a virtue about 800 times. About 200 more should get the point across.
