Ian Brown's Fear is better than anything the Stone Roses ever did.

Probably the most overrated band of the last thirty years.

There is more hype about the latest lemon poster to go up outside some record shop than any actual music they've made. It's very strange.

Their album isn't that good either imo. Two or three decent tracks.

The first three tracks and the ender on their debut defined an era. It's hard to overstate the impact they had on Manchester not only musically, but culturally. However, I would agree that they have one of those fanbases that just make you want to dislike them or understate their importance.

Other than one track, every song on that album is at least good. Most are great IMO.

Also 'I Wanna Be Adored' is lowkey a top-tier Post-Punk song.

Stone Roses is pretty bland. The only person I've seen slob the Stone Roses knob was Goofle and I assumed that it was nostalgia more than anything.

Three tracks was fair but I'd change 'decent' to 'good'. Decent might have been a bit too harsh.

I feel like Sansa used to be on their dick.

They are quite popular where I am and became more popular when that first reunion was announced. I know quite a few people who like them, most in my age group (>30) and with similar interests (⚽) are fans, they would be the sort of fan Goofle described.

In Manchester they have that 2Pac/Biggie type love. See them all over walls, t-shirts, prints etc. You will have tribute "Madchester" acts playing five of their songs in a 13 track set. They are HYPED.

I really like them but it is somewhat nostalgia.
