The episode where they're transported back to the OK Corral is pretty intense.

I took Mike to his first arena show (System of a Down) about 12 years ago. The opening act was this band I'd never heard before - The Mars Volta.
The first half of their set the backdrop was the cover of De-Loused and they played a bunch of tunes off of it. Then the backdrop fell to reveal the Frances cover and they played a bunch off of that. MIND BLOWN!!!!! Not only was the backing band the total **** - every single one of them were monsters, but Lopez and Zavala were ****ing insane! Imagine two dudes who have already drank a gallon of coffee and eaten a pound of sugar, and then were shot up with a huge dose of pure meth right before hitting the stage. Un-****ing-believable, even thinking back on it all these years later.

I think that it's a matter of album comparison. My interest level in TMV reduced with every single album after Frances the Mute. Those first two albums however are part of what makes my music taste. I consider Deloused in the Comatorium to be my favorite album of all time. I'd much rather listen to those two albums than any ATDI album. You throw Octohedron or Noctourniquet in front of me though and I'll immediately head for ATDI. Doesn't help that sometimes I feel Cedric sounds like the lead singer of Rise Against on most ATDI tracks.
