I only didn't cuz I thought you'd be familiar
Unwound are pretty much the best post hardcore band. This album here is what their stuff sounded like for a while, noisy and mathy and off kilter BUT THIS, was their last album, a masterpiece in all respects, anyone will tell ya. One of the most important albums evr. They turned more artsy post-rock, and this album is outrageously dynamic, and crafted so perfectly, chilling. It has a wide array of influences and originality within the genre. Violins, loud/soft as ****, crescendos, it's truly a 101/10 sure that was a typo but it's honestly more fitting. It's better than perfect |

Also: Anyone else noticed that a lot of seminal post-hardcore bands' last albums are also their masterpieces? Quote:
Don't get me wrong, I like screamed vocals. It's the teenagery aspect I dislike.

Personally my favorite bands today have been an acquired taste, not bands I initially liked from the start.

Thing is that I did love that style of vocals in my late teens, but then grew really wary of it. Not sure whether my preferences ever change back. I'm blasting DLY at the moment and for now all I hear is awesomeness though.
