I was more-so confused about how listening to every new experimental band is a bad thing. I've been listening to new hip hop for the past few weeks and I've found some great stuff that I wouldn't have found if I didn't listen to them.

The Dixie Dregs and Chula's inability to put them in the proper perspective is actually a convenient example of his inability to discriminate good from great. And as far as his own music goes, he's bad at being mediocre. Meaning even if his vision was actualized it would still only be mediocre.

Oh dear, I'm afraid I have to add my voice and point out that, while they may be good (and I admit I did not listen to the tracks) I dont' see how Dixie Dregs can be considered an "undisputed classic". I mean, ok if you like them Chula, fair play, but the only kind of "undisputed classic" I would accept would be the likes of "Stairway to Heaven", "Like a rolling stone", "Kind of blue", or maybe "Best song ever."

Just kidding. I don't think "Kind of blue" is a classic.

Obviously, that's a double kid. You confused yet?

Seriously though: there are plenty of bands I listen to that I love and nobody else does, and I would never propose a song of that nature as an "undisputed classic". If you'd said "A song I grew up loving and think is really great," nobody could argue. But hell, I don't even know who Dixie Dregs are!

Sorry man; you lose on this one on basic common sense. Shoulda posted Zep!

Piss off. The Dregs are great in my opinion. You don't agree? Fine.

Art appreciation = subjective.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
You say tomato, I say tomato.

Piss off.

So it's cool if we dispute an undisputed classic? Lol.

Night Meets Light is an undisputed classic from the Dixie Dregs' catalog. Obviously this only applies with the millions of Dregs fans.

You should check out the song. It's a masterpiece in harmonic composition.
