That means something to me though, in that it bores me. Pure just sounds like you're stubbornly hanging onto one sound and are afraid of change so you just demonize the change by labeling it "impure." Boring conveys the concept that something cannot successfully entertain me. Pure doesn't have that kind of straightforwardness.

From day one George Lynch has always been a better guitarist than Eddie Van Halen in that genre.
