As in, you think that those artists are good?

I like early Steve Vai, before he decided that his music should be dull.

^I like his solo better than Zappa's.

^no, as in they've been praised for their ability to play guitar. To think otherwise is just silly.

Ja people sure are pretty excited about people who can go widdly diddly doo in the fastest, most boring way possible. Doesn't make them right. These are the same people who made GNR famous, remember, we can't trust them. For me, wankcore is trite and terrible, pretty easy to hate imo.

I agree with Frown. What is "skill" if your music is boring?

I agree with that, too. People who go the other way, though, and feel that there's something wrong with that traditional sense of skill seem incredibly silly to me.

Again, what matters in my opinion is if it works for the song/piece.

Just curious what you think about Flexable/Flexable Leftovers.

Well, both are a matter of opinion. Skill is unskilled to one as boring is not boring to another.

I don't think it's wrong, but it's generally not something that appeals to me.

Love Flex-able, the Leftovers have their moments. Vai's best moment

In the examples that I listed, do you think that they aren't boring?
