Real Gone is better than Rain Dogs. Rain Dogs is obviously great, but for me Waits is at his best when he's going in a heavier direction like he does on Real Gone. The slower songs are great too, especially Trampled Rose.

If most people don't know about the "X underground band" then mention them. The chances are no one will refute what you said, cause they don't know about the band to make a comparison. Since they never heard about "X underground band" there is a good chance the band won't get criticized either.

At that, even I don't love their two 90s studio albums, Black Moon and In the Hot Seat, although I don't hate them or anything like that. Yeah, I'm not someone who ever "outgrows" any music. I can't even imagine what that would be like. It seems to me that if something appealed to me at one point because of its musical qualities, there's no reason it wouldn't continue appealing to me. I still like everything I liked as a kid 50 years ago. My tastes just keep expanding. Last edited by Terrapin_Station; 08-30-2016 at 06:32 PM. |
