1. Avant-Garde music is one genre. It's extremely unconventional, so there's no telling what the music may sound like. 2. Prog pays much more attention to musical structure and has a basic, common theme/sound/layout to prog. 3. Avant-Prog takes a little of both and combines the two. Concluysion: all three are different genres, and Avant-Prog is a child. And there's your answer.

The only person I guess was more popular than you thought was Cliff Richard, based on the fact you didn't take into consideration his work with Andrew Lloyd Weber. My unpopular opinion for today: Stone The Crows were pretty tight as a band. Maggie Bell was the first to sign to Swan Song so Zeppelin haters should extend their displeasure of Led Zeppelin to her. Jimmy Page stole the sweater vest idea from Jimmy McCulloch. Stone The Crows 'Going Down' 1973

Yeah, I hadn't really noticed before now, but they both seem to follow the track of "Never directly address anything that might lead to any sort of concession or make one seem like not an expert; rather make oblique moves and type increasingly more words." It's the politician's gambit, basically.

I feel like I should say one unpopular opinion... Grunge was an amazing genre, but one of the worst things that ever happened to the rock scene. |

I try to chit chat about bands to make it a little more friendly. I shared my thought on Progressive Rock. You end up complaining about oblique moves. You're still hung up on I don't know what.
