Wouldn't that make them a good singer but a bad song writer? For example, I think Adele has a great voice and is a very good singer, but her songs are as boring as can be. I consider her a good singer, just not a good artist/musician/song writer.

While I don't think AC/DC or Metallica are bands that make "good" music, I would not say Kirk Hammett or Angus Young are "not good guitarist." I think Angus dressing up like he's fail third grade his whole life seem kind stupid imo, and I wish he would grow out of that phase. Kirk Hammett seems like a decent guy, while I find Lars Ulrich and James Hatfeild annoying as heck. Hatfeild calls him Kirk "Ripa" Hammett maybe that is an inside joke to him, like he considers Kirk to be the "Kelly Ripa" of guitar players, who knows? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I think you can recognize talent even if you dislike the music that artist (singer/guitarist) produces. Amazing Kirk Hammett Guitar Solo

If not then they're just a shite artist with a nice voice, rather than a shite song writer with a nice voice.

I prefer "grammar police." Hitler and the Nazis are not funny or something to be made light of because of their horrific crimes during the early half of the twenty century.
I said '"Good songs" is a bit subjective' because I meant the idea of "good songs." The idea of "good songs" are subjective doesn't sound right.
