Nu Metal isn't the abomination that everyone says it is/was. It's certainly better than the Top 40 garbage on the radio these days.

I can maybe concede Rage against the machine but RHCP is a stretch, same with Primus.

When i think of Nu metal i think of bands like Korn, Linkin park, SOAD that kinda bands.

Rock? All of those bands are rock to me. RHCP's mix in a lot of funk too.

I hear SOAD being associated with nu metal a lot, but my guess is they self identify with the alternative metal scene.
