You are both wrong.
Unpopular (probably) opinion: I prefer modern classical to the old stuff everyone who says they're into classical is supposed to like.

Other than that, orchestral music from video games (Odin Sphere for example) and movies is what I can say I like. I guess that means I agree somewhat with you, since I don't really like the old, usual suspects like Vivaldi, Beethoven, Mozart, Strauss, Stravinsky, etcetera. |

I just thought of a controversial opinion so here goes:
Coheed and Cambria are garbage - especially since pop punk riffs are lame and extra-especially because the singer is the worst thing to happen to my eardrums since tinnitus. I mean, why does he "sing" in such a hysterical manner? He's like a parody of a singer that doesn't exist. I can't believe he's for real. The Mars Volta are garbage too, mostly because everything they do - instrumentally and vocally - is just immensely grating. Also, the lyrics are even more nonsensical than Anthony Kiedis' lyrics, which is an amazing accomplishment. Maybe nobody around here likes them anyway, but there you go. Ha ha ha. Without The Beatles Oasis would have never existed.
But on an even plain The Beatles smoke them on every level. Put down the crack pipe.
