Not sure ya'll grasp just how huge Zep was in the mid 70s. "The man" had no choice but to side up with them for hopes of garnering the 18-24 demo vote.

Not sure you grasp just how huge N'SYNC was in the early 00s.

Pffffft.

On their 1977 tour Zep sold out the Pontiac Silverdome (76,000) and Seattle Kingdome (65,000). They also sold out 6 nights at Madison Square Garden, 6 nights at the LA Forum, 3 nights in Chicago, and 4 nights in Maryland. This was on the heels of selling out 5 nights at Earls Court in London.

All pre-MTV and mass media hype that bands in the 80s sucked off of. Not to mention that most of the press hated Zeppelin, including Rolling Stone, who in the 70s was still kinda respectable.

All hail ZEPPELIN! Next to GOAT!©, they reign supreme.

So... it's entirely possible that you like Led Zeppelin as much as you do because you yourself were a bandwagon jumper in the seventies? I mean, if they were so popular, it would have been pretty easy to get swept up in all of that.

I first heard Whole Lotta Love on a jukebox in 1969 when I was 9 years old. Zep has been my fave ever since. I was a huge fan way before they took over the world. Nice try though.

That's what all the bandwagon jumpers say.

Take off the rose colours glasses off for a minute.

1968

1969

Both of these are a million times heavier than anything Led Zeppelin even considered. And before you start, yes I know, not music blah blah blah whine rant I'm older than you whatever. Still heavy as **** regardless.
