It's been a few days. **** you.

(have you heard The Raven that Refused to Sing yet? - Very different than his first 2 solo albums. You might like it.)

I've been burned enough by his solo work, Porcupine Tree, Pineapple Thief, and Storm Corrosion. I'll give that album a go, but my hopes aren't too high. The only thing I've liked from him was his work with Opeth (but I thought Storm Corrosion was as exciting as watching rain wear down a brick building).

Used to like a couple of albums from Porcupine Tree but returning to those albums just bored me.

The biggest difference with the recent album is that he had an actual band to record the songs in the studio - lot's of it live, Instead of him sitting by himself doing most of the work. Gives the music a much more organic sound.

Is it musically similar? Porcupine Tree is a full band as well but their organic sound doesn't help their boring music.

Well, it's Wilson's voice. But no, I think it's got its own unique vibe.

haha I had no idea Pineapple Thief was a Wilson project. I remember a long time ago I dloaded one of their albums (like from limewire or some shit) and it ended up not being the album but some noise thing. when I finally realized it was the wrong one and listened to the real album I was quite disappointed. it was pretty bad. never found out what that other album was unfortunately.

and that is my experience with Pineapple Thief. also why do all of his projects have such garbage names? its embarrassing.

Pineapple Thief isn't a Wilson project.

Oops. I have a hard time differentiating terrible music.

Oops, Ninetales was referring to your mistake.

And yeah, both are pretty lame as far as I remember.

I loved Porcupine Tree a few years back, now it does just sound bland. Nothing special.
