Those are two I haven't listened to, now I'd know to steer clear.
Do you like some of his other comedy-type stuff? Apostrophe and Joe's Garage are also high up for me.

I agree on Slayer not being that good. I've given their music multiple tries and I can never see the appeal.

I second that.
Even when I was a metal fan I thought Slayer were mediocre at best.

Those are both great albums because they're humourous and are still full of interesting music. My issue with a lot of Zappa's work is that a lot of the time it becomes all about the joke.

Just have Iron Maiden or Judas Priest open for Slayer, both of which a far better bands. Let's see Tom eat his words when either of those bands blow his bands live show out of the water, and to the moon. Who knows, Tom still might think his bands sh*t don't stink after that. I wouldn't be surprised, a guy with a complex like his.

I've seen both Iron Maiden and Judas Priest perform live, and I can't imagine Slayer would put on a better show than either of them. I've never seen Slayer though so I could be wrong. I just know that Judas and Iron Maiden are fantastic live acts.

^Slayer's one of the best bands I've seen live and also housed the most terrifying moshpit I've been in.

I like to put the artist in one corner and their art in another and view them separately.

And Judas Priest & Slayer>Maiden

Humbleness is overrated in artists. Do I particularly care that someone I don't may or may not be an *******? Not really. I've seen some blatant homophobic comments from one of Slayer's guitarists, and while I may not think much of him, I don't really care as far as his music goes. Besides, someone who can get on a stage in front of hundreds, or even thousands of people, and command a crowd with sound waves, may just be entitled to a little bit of hubris. A little bit of arrogance might even help.

If I were given a choice, i'd love to see Slayer and Judas Priest perform live together. I don't know in what order, probably so that I'd see Judas Priest last, just by the fact that I've never seen Slayer and that i'm not the biggest fan of them. That could easily change if I were to listen to Slayer now.
