Sharing Email List Upload Thing
 

"If you're new to the mailing list concept, here's how it works:
Every day or so an email will be sent out to everyone on the list. Our goal is to include 5 albums per day. In the email will be links to albums that have been uploaded by you, your fellow MBers, and myself. We will all have the benefit of hearing bands we might never have been exposed to. In addition you may find that album you've been searching for forever or find something you'd been meaning to check out.

If you would like to be on the mailing list, post your email address and then contribute to the discussion as you receive the emails.

This is a forum after all, so please post comments and discuss the music that you have downloaded. Even if its just like

*album* *title*: it was good

It doesn't have to be super indepth or anything.

(theres a few others I can't be bothered to list them)


If you upload something for the mailing list, it would be helpful if you'd please include what genre they are, and who they sound somewhat similar to.

Some of the uploads may be in .rar format. To unzip these, download the RAR client, which can be found here. Please only use winzip or winrar, or if you're using another please list the file to unzip it. 'Cause i've ran across a few file types that I have no idea what they are .ace for instance.

If you need to convert file formats such as wma to mp3, try dBpowerAMP:

iTunes is also good for creating mp3s from wma and m4a/aac.

I'm gonna try and do this daily, but if i'm the only one uploading then I probaly won't do it daily, seeing as its a pain for me to upload that many albums for every one every day and if none of you but me do upload, don't bitch about how you want the albums uploaded to be more varied and different genres.

I'll also aim for 5 Albums per day.

note: I did steal this entire thing and edited bits from mx, because i'm too lazy to type one out myself when it will say basically the same thing.

Also, please try and use sendspace and not megaupload because I have stupid parental filters and for some reason megaupload is blocked :(

You post your email, I send out mass email with five albums in it. You download albums post what you think of them. You also email or PM me albums. Therefore expanding your taste in music and your music collection, as well as others. The end.

I'm actually gonna send the first off right now since I just got it done if anyone new posts i'll pm it to them when I get back on sunday (maybe monday). This one will count as mondays upload just cause, for one i'm eager to send it off also I don't know how much time i'll have on monday. Check your email in like 10 minutes.

&, as for the harddrive thing, its not like you're expected to download all the albums. Even if you do you may not like them all, in which case just delete it
