Grady/"Paranoid Freaks"
I think the best show I went to was when I saw Grady (my favourite band right now) at the Tattoo Rock Parlour in Toronto. Obviously, Grady were amazing, but the coolest part was that The Trews secretly opened for them. I LOVE The Trews and wasn't expecting it - they called themselves the Paranoid Freaks (Paranoid Freak is the name of one of their songs) and played mostly cover songs. They normally wouldn't play at a venue that tiny, it was so sweet.

Iggy and The Stooges bar none! Iggy is f*cking amazing live! They put on an amazing show and I got about 1 foot away from Iggy. Saw them at Massey Hall in Toronto. What a great place to see a band! RIP Ron Asheton. To bad he died. The Stooges will NEVER be the same.

Quite a few years ago I saw Dillinger Escape Plan, Avenged Sevenfold, and Poison the Well on the same day. That was pretty much my top 3 bands at the time so I was hella pumped.
Since then...don't laugh, but probably the show that stands out most to me was Ben Folds. He was all by himself rockin out with just his piano. He made all kindsa crazy sounds come outta that thing too...like plucking the strings inside the piano with his fingers, and scratching the strings with a mic while beat-boxing at the same time. Pretty fun show really, and just packed with hot college girls too. |

The best shows I go to are local shows around here. Sure, I've been to pretty cool shows of more well-known bands, but it doesn't get any better than 5 bucks at the door, a bar full of people you know, and a live in-your-face performance. So I know you guys want more specifics. It's up in the air between Clutch, Flogging Molly, Tool, The Roots, and Opeth.
