Thank you
It strikes most people to know that I grew up with rap, my first musical love. Strangely, I think some of the lyricist in rap music drove me to find any music that is lyrically inspired and can generate emotion with just the music being played behind the instruments. I still love rap music, but I am a fan of any music with a message, emotion, and content that can evoke humanity.

Taproot
MSI Scarface (if you want to get into old school rap) and that's all I can think of. Those are the 3 musicians I'll always recommend to anyone no matter what they like. Well the fourth was Sparta but Misfits beat me to it.

Decemberists was great. While Oceana sleeps by Sparta is inspiring. Dallas Green is absolutely amazing. Do you guys know anyone similar to Snow Patrol or anyone with some incredible piano fronted tracks like Coldplay or The Fray? Or anyone with songs that are a tribute to love lost like "Goodbye my Lover" by James Blunt. You guys are fantastic. By the way, Raine, Mary Jane by Scarface is a classic.
