i'd quite like to know what band you think is the greatest of all time and what song or songs made them that good.

Kind of beating a dead donkey here mate, theres been several threads on this already, the search button is up the top right.

And debate sorely revolves around the Beatles, Stones, Floyd and Zeppelin. It is one seriously battered topic.
