Yeah it's a bummer that he passed on. I found out about this on Tuesday. It's so weird that he died last friday, and it took 4 days to get the report out. Crazy stuff. Anyway, I don't know Syd's solo music at all except for one song called "Opel." I've only heard it a few times on Napsterlinks, but I like the way the song is structured. I think I'll go and check out his solol albums today. His music and spirit lives on, but he'll rest peacefully.

And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that.

In yellow shoes I get the blues,
So I walk the street with my plastic feet
with blue velvet trousers make me feel pink
Theres a kind of stink about blue velvet trousers
In my paisley shirt, I look a jerk,
and my turquoise waistcoat is quite outta sight.
But oh, oh, my haircut looks so bad....

The main reason i liked pink floyd in the first place. I still rate piper at the gates of dawn above darkside of the moon.

Barrett era Floyd and post-Barrett Floyd are two completely Floyds, they really can't be compared.

He was a rather inventive Guitarist, his vocals were unique and his lyrics provided some strange imagery.

Though it must be said, Bike had some of the most random lyrics ever.
