Yeah it's a bummer that he passed on. I found out about this on Tuesday. It's so weird that he died last friday, and it took 4 days to get the report out. Crazy stuff. Anyway, I don't know Syd's solo music at all except for one song called "Opel." I've only heard it a few times on Napsterlinks, but I like the way the song is structured. I think I'll go and check out his solol albums today. His music and spirit lives on, but he'll rest peacefully.

I heard about it a few days ago... wasn;t firday he died? anyways.. weird thing is I thought he died years ago.. oops..
and Urban, pink floyd clearly got better sense he left or got kicked out or asked to leave pink floyd. |

Barrett era Floyd and post-Barrett Floyd are two completely Floyds, they really can't be compared.
He was a rather inventive Guitarist, his vocals were unique and his lyrics provided some strange imagery. Though it must be said, Bike had some of the most random lyrics ever. |
