Well, there are many great musicians that are not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and we have already had a couple of good musicians not inducted into the MB Hall of Fame. I just don't think IT should be in the MB Hall of Fame!!!

Ok I've only listened to a few of Immortal Techinque's songs, and the name sounds like a group, so I went with instinct, but I believe he only has two albums, that just doesn't seem like enough.

And weren't you the one that suggested Immortal Technique, I was merely suggesting Pixies(there is no The in there name so I can tell you haven't listened).

As far as why I think Surfer Rosa and Doolittle are some of the greatest albums ever made. They were also a heavy influence on Nirvana and affected artists like David Bowie and Bono. Raine I don't know what you mean about Gigantic, but they do say my name in it a lot so it has to be good.

I disagree on The Offspring. A hall of fame induction should be someone that has been fairly consistent through their career. Teh Offspring to me were fantastic, until the jumped on the "we want to be recognised, commercialised and heard on radio" bandwagon. They produced great music, and then they prodcued chart topping music... So i guess all round, they must have been good enough to please everyone for a long time. But in a matter of musical consistency.. i think there are others that could be nominated...

The Offspring are not great. Greatness is what is required.

Going against the grain here, but i think hall of fames are a waste of time, too many damn arguments about what kind of bands should and shouldn't be inducted... And certain genres are always ignored, which is a subtle way of saying the music you listen to is superior to everything else, it's all biased rubbish, that's why i dispise the R&R hall of fame, for all the bands that deserved to be inducted but never made it in, and all the ones that got in simply for being a favorite of the board members rather than their actual contribution to music history... Tom Petty, you know who you are.

Sure this is meant to be an alternative to that, but i think at the rate things are going, it wont be any different, because the whole process of picking "elite" bands is dumb to begin with.

Which brings up a new question, why did i bother to make this post?... Because i'm bored and have way too much free time on my hands.
